About
Because there isn’t enough dirt about us on the Internet already.
Boo
My brother-in-law found Boo running in Salt Lake traffic during rush hour on a hot day in July 1998. Brian and I decided to take him with us to Washington state and he was our faithful companion until February 2010. He traveled across the country with us multiple times via car and airplane. As he was a stray, we were never sure his breed but I would guess staff, bulldog, pig, and a little gargoyle without the wings. Whatever he was, I miss him dearly.

Izzy
Izzy came to us by way of the Brooklyn Pound in August 2002. All I know is that she was picked up as a stray in Queens and was terribly neurotic. She peed everywhere the minute she came into the play room at the pound to meet us, and we just knew she was the dog for us.
Izzy is simply an uber-terrier or a white ball of pure energy. Since we’ve had her, she’s slowly figured out the whole house training thing but hasn’t quite figured out that we can’t play fetch 24-7.

Amos
Amos is a strange little dog. He spent the first three years of his life living in deplorable conditions without any interaction with people. We adopted him from a rescue group in August 2006. At the time, we couldn’t touch him, walk him on a leash, or get within three feet of him. It’s been a slow process, but he’s made a lot of steady progress. He has even graduated from a beginning obedience class.

Stevie the Wonder Dog
Stevie is our most recent addition. He’s a blind pit bull puppy. He and two of his sisters were dropped off at the county shelter at 5 weeks old, and that’s about all we know. The blindness is probably because of inbreeding. Stevie’s gray coloring is somewhat unique and fairly coveted in pit bulls. Whoever dropped him off at the shelter was probably breeding two dogs that should never have been bred together. In spit of his handicap, Stevie is a very happy dog who just finished puppy kindergarten and aspires to be a therapy dog.

Adopt Olive and Sweet Pea!
Olive and Sweet Pea are up for adoption through the Utah Animal Advocacy Foundation and are our current foster dogs. They are puppy mill rescues who spent 12 and 8 years respectively living in a kennel and giving birth to litter after litter of puppies. In spite of it all, they are pretty happy and well behaved little dogs. You know you want to adopt them.
Olive and Sweet Pea can also be found on PetFinder.com and Dogster.
Jen
My name is Jen, and I’m responsible for this site. When not wasting my time developing an online identity for my dogs, I am trying to cope with life in Salt Lake working as an instructional designer. Only a few short years ago I was unemployed and living in Brooklyn. Prior to that was grad school in Boston, temping in Seattle, a liberal college education in Washington state, childhood in Minnesota, and birth in Chicago. I live with a guy named Brian who has no online presence. He will remain shrouded in mystery.
I was raised by a pack of wild wolves. Just kidding, I was raised by Lois and Hal, although they did raise me in a barn which explains a lot. I have 3.5 siblings or 7 half-siblings. It’s a lot however you slice it. All but one of them are sisters, and I tend to refer to them all simply as ‘my sister’ until people ask how my sister manages to do so much. Then I have to try to explain the whole confusing sister situation. It’s all worth it though because they’ve produced some damn cute kids that I get to play with.
