Dog-Friendly Hiking

Hiking with dogs in Salt Lake City can be hard. The Salt Lake Valley is surrounded by amazing spots to hike, but a lot of them don't allow dogs because they fall in a watershed area. I might like hiking with my dogs, but I like my clean drinking water a lot more so I'm going to stick to the dog-friendly spots and there are a few like much of the Bonneville-Shorline Trail, Millcreek Canyon, and City Creek Canyon.

Over the weekend, we ventured a bit further south and discovered that American Fork Canyon is also open to dogs and well worth checking out. It was gorgeous, but tt's probably worth waiting to check it out until May as many of the trails had not yet been maintained.
